Breast Reduction for Men New Orleans
Gynecomastia treatment with Dr. Moses
Enlarged male breasts are a surprisingly common condition. If you have had a history of cancer, liver disorders, or the use of certain drugs (anabolic steroids, alcohol, marijuana, estrogen medications, etc.), these factors can contribute to gynecomastia. However, the vast majority of men whom Dr. Moses treats for gynecomastia have no known cause. If you are interested in gynecomastia surgery, we encourage you to come and talk with Dr. Moses.

What is male breast reduction surgery?
Gynecomastia surgery is performed under general anesthesia at our outpatient surgical center. Dr. Moses will remove excess fat and glandular tissue, and sometimes excess skin. Depending on your case, he may do much or all of the surgery with liposuction alone. Any scarring is usually small and inconspicuous, fading over time.
How long is gynecomastia surgery recovery?
After gynecomastia surgery, stitches are underneath the skin, there is surgical glue on the incisions and an elastic compression garment will be used to minimize swelling for a couple of weeks. Dr. Moses may temporarily place a small, thin drainage tube under the skin to drain any excess blood or fluid that collects for a day or two.

Dr. Moses knows the importance of feeling confident in your appearance. Many men are relieved after gynecomastia surgery. You won’t have to hide your chest, avoid the beach, the pool, or pickup football games. Now you can have fun showing off your leaner, more proportioned chest.
