Endermologie Cellulite Reduction New Orleans
Endermologie® is a unique, non-invasive way of shaping your body to reduce the appearance of cellulite.
In its original form, Endermologie was used to rehabilitate scars, burns, and damaged muscular tissue when a surprising side effect was discovered—the reduction of cellulite and smoother skin.
What is cellulite and how is it formed?
Cellulite is caused by factors that influence where and how fat is stored, where and how fluid is retained, and the arrangement of collagen and elastin fibers in the connective tissue layers between the skin and the muscles. Factors influencing cellulite include hormones (it is almost exclusively a phenomenon in women), genetic predisposition, hydration, diet, exercise, stress, drug use, and medications.
When normal fatty tissue is stored, it is surrounded by a network of collagen and elastin fibers. Enlarging fat cells (adipocytes) stretch the network of collagen and elastin fibers, which then thicken (fibrose) around these cells, forming clumps of fat. These pockets of fat are the cause of the “orange peel” or “cottage cheese” appearance known as cellulite.
When treating cellulite, the congested lymph and waste system needs to be cleared, the fibrosis around the clumps of fat needs to be softened or broken down, and the weakened network of collagen and elastin fibers between the skin and muscles needs to be re-modeled. Endermologie will treat cellulite at all of these levels. The frequency and amount of Endermologie treatments depends on a patient’s condition.
How does Endermologie work to treat cellulite?
The Keymodule’s small hand-held, motorized treatment head with specially designed rollers performs the Endermologie® treatment. By gently lifting, kneading, and rolling the skin, the Keymodule stimulates the venous and lymphatic systems, thereby eliminating toxins. Fibroblasts are stimulated to increase collagen and elastin production, generating healthier, rejuvenated skin tone, and a smoother layer of fat.
While wearing a body stocking, the motorized rollers are gently run over the affected areas of the body and then concentrated on the problem areas. The controlled suction gently lifts and rolls your skin, to deeply massage the affected areas, increasing the cutaneous blood flow and lymphatic flow.
How much does Endermologie cost?
- $100 for a single treatment, or $480 for a series of 6
