Rhinoplasty New Orleans
Rhinoplasty is the quintessential plastic surgery operation. The nose is the single feature that can make, or break, the attractiveness of your face. Rhinoplasty with Dr. Moses can help balance your face, increasing your self-confidence.
During your consultation, discuss your goals with Dr. Moses, and he will tell you realistically what he can and can’t do. Nose surgery procedures are often performed in conjunction with other surgeries, especially those designed to increase nasal breathing. Together, you both will decide exactly which procedures he will perform in order to achieve your personal desired results.

What happens during rhinoplasty surgery?
For your safety and comfort, your rhinoplasty will be performed under general anesthesia as an outpatient. Depending on your specific concerns and what it will take to address them, Dr. Moses may perform either an open or closed rhinoplasty. For an open rhinoplasty, a small incision will be made in the columella (the space between your nostrils) and in the nose. For a closed rhinoplasty, the only incisions will be made inside the nose.
Through these incisions, Dr. Moses will reshape the nose by changing the bones and cartilage of the nose to create a better shape. After your rhinoplasty, Dr. Moses will apply a simple dressing to minimize the swelling.
How long is recovery after rhinoplasty?
Typically, patients can expect to be out of work for around a week. During this time, you’ll be wearing a nasal splint to protect your nose as it heals. It’s normal to experience some bruising around the nose and eyes for one to two weeks, but you will be able to wear camouflage makeup after the first week.
Exercise, other than contact sports, can usually be slowly resumed after two to three weeks. For a long time, your nasal breathing will continue to improve.
What rhinoplasty results can I expect?
While final rhinoplasty results can take up to a year to fully settle in, most patients can appreciate their new look within a few weeks. Following your rhinoplasty, your entire face should seem more balanced, proportionate, and prettier—our patients are always surprised to see just how much of an impact your nose has on your overall attractiveness.
