Michael H. Moses, MD, FACS

Meet Dr. Moses

Michael Moses, MD, FACS, has been practicing the art and science of plastic surgery for 30 years. Dr. Moses wants all of his patients to get to that point where they are happy with their appearance. He strives to achieve a “natural look” that complements not only every patient’s features, but their personality as well. Dr. Moses needs to know your priorities, aesthetics, and goals, as well as what you want and what you don’t want.

Dr. Moses has been selected by his peers in a nation-wide survey as one of the “Best Doctors in America,” a group that includes the top 5% of U.S. physicians. He is also listed among the “Best Doctors in Louisiana 2013” in Plastic Surgery by Louisiana Life Magazine and the “Best Doctors in New Orleans” by New Orleans Magazine.

From his mentor, Harvard surgeon Dr. John Constable, Dr. Moses learned the value of sharing his knowledge in plastic surgery with colleagues around the world. Dr. Moses has traveled to Honduras, Nicaragua, India, Haiti, and Vietnam to teach plastic surgeons in those countries. He strongly subscribes to the dictum: “Give a man a fish, feed him for a day. Teach him to fish, feed him for life.”

Currently, Dr. Moses is the Chief of Plastic Surgery at Touro Infirmary and the Director of the Cleft and Craniofacial team at Children’s Hospital. He is on the plastic surgery faculties of Tulane and LSU Schools of Medicine.

Dr. Moses is also an avid art collector, specializing in New Orleans artists. He loves to discuss his art collection with patients and friends. In his spare time, Dr. Moses also enjoys golf, fly fishing, New Orleans food and music, and spending time with his four sons. With the slightest provocation, he will talk to you about the Saints. Dr. Moses wants his patients to feel comfortable with him, his office, and the staff.

“When you visit Dr. Moses, he will spend an hour listening to your wants, needs and concerns.”
